” This is a work in progress, a first iteration, a prototype. “
Welcome to CluedUp. This is where is all starts. We are putting together this site as a place where everybody can find out what’s going on, link to resources, meet-up and get a sense of what’s working with the programme. We want to capture what we are learning, what you think, and who is involved. Be patient as we get things set up, and do let us know what you think along the way.
CluedUp is about empowerment. Its about making better informed decisions. Its about reducing the number of STIs and the number of unwanted pregnancies. Its about increasing sexual health and contraception knowledge, increasing confidence and self-management skills and, importantly, connecting a network of other people together that can listen and support.
The programme is going to be developed and delivered in a way that is relevant, co-led by peers and professionals. As a ‘Life Skill’ programme this will mean that those involved will get individually tailored support, information and advice on all aspects of physical and emotional health and well-being, with a particular focus on sexual health.
CluedUp will be happening in three London Boroughs (Wandsworth, Lambeth and Southwark) with around 15-25 young women in each Borough being involved in the programme. Each session in the series of interactive workshops will be co-led by professionals and young women who are learning to become accredited facilitators as part of the project. The programme will be expansive, fun and full of fast-moving conversation around information, with everything related back in a meaningful way to real-life situations.
